Ireland captain Caelan Doris has been named in the first-choice lineup for Saturday's autumn international with Japan in Dublin.
The Leinster back-row forward returned from injury as a substitute during the previous week's defeat to the All Blacks but is deemed fit to begin as manager Farrell rings the changes from their tour to the U.S. city.
Joining him in the back row are Baird at number six, with the Ulster club's Nick Timoney at number seven.
Tadhg Beirne, whose dismissal following a bunker review against the New Zealand was later overturned, is returning in the locks alongside Ryan.
Nonetheless, the Ulster player McCloskey, who picked up a muscle issue in the national team's first fall match, is excluded of the matchday squad with Munster's Tom Farrell selected to earn his first cap alongside Robbie Henshaw.
Stockdale will win his 40th cap as he comes back on the flank for the first time since picking up a shoulder problem in the warm-up match with the Georgian team.
Craig Casey gets the nod to link up with Munster team-mate Jack Crowley at scrum-half and fly-half, while Kelleher and Clarkson come into the prop positions with Porter who retains his place from the loss by New Zealand.
Farrell has quality alternatives on the substitutes' bench with McCarthy, P. McCarthy, Bealham, Cian Prendergast and Jack Conan the pack substitutes, while Caolin Blade, S. Prendergast and Jimmy O'Brien provide the backline reinforcements.
Ireland: Osborne; T O'Brien, Farrell , R Henshaw, J Stockdale; J Crowley, Casey; Porter, R Kelleher, Clarkson; J Ryan, Beirne; Baird , N Timoney, Doris (captain)
Replacements: G. McCarthy, P. McCarthy, F Bealham, C. Prendergast, J Conan, Blade, S Prendergast, O'Brien.
