The Jets had gone in front at Foxborough with quarterback Justin Fields rushing for a five-yard touchdown to conclude the Jets' first possession
But the Patriots responded in the second quarter as Henderson ran in two seven-yard touchdowns before the running back caught a pass from Maye at the rear of the end zone midway through the third quarter to extend the lead to 21-7
"That was a crucial moment for him stepping up, and it's been great for him to keep getting these reps," the quarterback commented on Henderson. "He desires to be great."
Fields threw to Metchie toward the end of the third quarter to narrow the deficit for the visitors but Borregales booted a two field goals in the final period as the home side sealed the victory
